“Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things and by your will they existed and were created.” Revelation 4:11
“Worthy are you….for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation…” Revelation 5:9,10
This month we celebrated the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. He alone is worthy. He alone could be the perfect sacrifice to pay the ransom for our sins. He alone is worthy to receive glory and honor and praise.
What heart could hold the weight of your love, and know the heights of your great worth? You are holy, God most high and God most worthy. Your name alone has power to raise us. Your light will shine when all else fails. Our eyes will look on Your glorious face, shining like the sun. Who is like You God? Jesus You are! Who shall we say You are? You are the living God…the great I AM…the highest name of all. You’re all You say You are! (words adapted from Matt Redman, “Holy”)
May we never forget. May we never take His sacrifice for granted. May we never cease to proclaim His message of salvation to this hurting and hopeless world. Jesus alone has the power to save every person who is lost or who has wandered from Him. You are worthy of our praise!
Worthy Son of God, thank You for Your sacrifice on the cross at Calvary. Sorrow and grace flowed down – mingled together for the perfect sacrifice from a loving and redemptive God. I claim Your forgiveness and trust in You alone! I am a sinner saved by Jesus, God’s perfect plan of love and grace and mercy. Thank You for the cross, and for giving Yourself for me.
